REGISTRATION COST IS $ 75
Cost pays for: Either, Level One or Level Two, for both Saturdays:

Level One: 9AM-11AM; Basic fundamental skills
Level one should be for children with no formal training. Even if your child has played on a team, but has never been formally taught technique and fundamentals, they should take this course level.
    Level One:
  • Fundamental beginning passing - Chest, bounce, Overhead two-hand flip.
  • Beginning shooting – What to focus on and considerations, when you are a beginner at shooting; beginner’s shooting technique.
  • Ball handling skills – How to know if you are doing it right; dribbling without looking at the ball; dribbling drills to make you better,
  • Defense – Stance; spacing; closing-out, defending by moving your feet
Level Two: 11AM-1PM; Advanced Skills
Level two: Here, your child will be taught proper form in shooting, passes and skills that they will have to have in more competitive levels; arc-to-layup in one dribble, beyond basic dribbling skills... To benefit at this level your child should be at least 4’10”, strong enough to shoot the ball with the use of only one arm at 2/3 distance to foul line, Perform layups with consistency, and at the very least, should have played at least a year of competitive basketball.
    Level Two:
  • Advanced passing: “Seven-point passing”; Seven directional driving layups..
  • Advanced technique shooting; jump-stop shooting; Five-spot shooting, How to practice lay-ups, and Bank-shots, AKA the “Tim Duncan”
  • Advanced ball-handling – Crossover; reverse pivot; 2-Ball dribbling drills; speeding your down-court dribble
  • Defense – Stance; spacing; close-out, moving your feet.

Realizing the nature of this program, its physical demands and how important it is to follow rules, regulations and instructions outlined by the Cobb County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department (CCPRCAD) and East Marietta Basketball participant is, to the best of my knowledge, in good health and able to participate in the program. I authorize the staff of the CCPRCAD and East Marietta Basketball coach to organize any required medical or first aid procedure to include but not limited to CPR, or to take the undersigned to a hospital emergency room for treatment. If any major treatment is required, I understand that every effort will be made to notify the individual indicated as emergency contact beforehand by telephone. The undersigned hereby forever releases, discharges and covenants to hold harmless the CCPRCAD, The Cobb County Recreation Board, The Cobb County Board of Commissioners and Cobb County, Georgia, East Marietta Basketball and any person, firm or corporation charged or chargeable with responsibility of liability, their heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assignees from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, loss of services, actions and causes of action belonging to the undersigned or arising out of any act or occurrence in connection with and particularly in account of all personal injury disability, property damage, loss or damages of any kind sustained or that my hereafter be sustained arising out of matters described herein or in consequence of the participation in the recreation program sponsored by the CCPRCAD and East Marietta Basketball. The undersigned hereby bind their heirs, administrators, executors and successors. Further, the agreement shall apply to all unknown and unanticipated injuries and damages, directly or indirectly resulting here from. This release and hold harmless agreement shall constitute a full and complete release of any and all claims.
